Cornell claimed six of the top seven places in the annual Army-Cornell dual meet to earn a 43-18 victory over Army on a warm and rainy day in Ithaca.
Junior Meghan Curran led the way for the Black Knights with a third place finish. The Patriot League "Runner of the Week" toured the 5k course in a time of 18:56. Cornell's Kim Standridge won with race with a time of 18:36 while Stephanie Pancoast finished second in 18:40.
Sophomore Toni Oestmann was the second Army finisher crossing the line in eighth place overall in 19:31, just three seconds ahead of fellow sophomore Ashley Morgan who came home in ninth place (19:34).
Army's scoring was topped off by sophomore Stephanie Schoeneman and junior Kristina Heinecke finishing in 16th and 17th, respectively.
The Army women will rest next weekend before traveling to the Bronx on September 22nd for the Iona College Meet of Champions at Van Cortlandt Park.
